Before his dictatorship, at the age of 30 on a military campaign in Spain, Julius Caesar wept, saying Alexander the Great had conquered the known world by his age. His men comforted him by noting Alexander was born a king, and Caesar had risen greatly from humble origins in his 30 years. Who knew he’d be more famous than Alexander in a few years?
